It's been such a long time...

Brandon and I went and saw Coldplay last week and it was absolutely amazing! However, we had really bad seats. We were on the side of the stage at the very top, and I mean, we were in the very top row! It's hard to pinpoint my favorite part of the show, but they did play most of my favorites: Viva La Vida, Yellow, In My Place and Fix You. We went and saw the show in Kansas City, which is 4 hours away, and the show was on a Thursday... which means I had school the next day. So we had to drive all the way back home after the show and didn't get home until 3am! And we get up at 5am! But it was worth it and the concert was way sweet. We have, however, decided to never be cheap again when it comes to Coldplay tickets.

Also, we are moving to Utah in about a month and a half and we are still looking for a place to live! It's hard to find a place to live when you aren't in the same state!

Oh, and Bri will be graduating on December 19th!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!

Night before the wedding

So tonight is my last night as a bachelor. It doesn't feel real to me. I cannot believe the day is almost here. This has been the most trying summer ever. I know this all sounds so cliche, but it is true. The past month has been incredible. I have been able to do so much. I have received the Melchezidic Priesthood, done my endowments with Brianne, received my Patriarchal blessing just last night, and much, much more. This engagement has been incredibly hard, so many trials. I believe that I have gone through them for a greater purpose, to prepare me for the future. My spirit has been stretched so much through these trials, I feel like I can get through anything now. Nothing seems impossible to me. I know that if I can honor Brianne, everything will work out. I beleive this because the Lord has provided the way, I simply have to remember that. Miracles are happening all around us, we just have to look for them. No doubt, it is a miracle that I am able to be sealed to Brianne for all time and eternity in the Temple. Nothing short of a miracle.

Bri at her best!

So Bri has been under a lot of stress lately. She works part time at two jobs, has a class she must get an A in. On top of that, she is planning a wedding with yours truly.

So, sometimes, I let her take a nap undisturbed. Most of the time I don't. My new phone has an extraordinary bright light for the flash. Lets just say it always wakes up sleeping beauty.

I'm so mean.

That smile cannot lie, she still loves me!

Updates

It's been a while since we have blogged so I thought I would satisfy everyone's needs and update you on our lives. Brandon is currently in STL selling for Pinnacle. He decided to stay home this summer instead of going to VA Beach so that we could be close to me :) He is going to VA Beach this week though but then he'll be back. I've only been back from school for a week and I've been working 2 jobs. I also will be starting a summer class in about a week. Boo. Currently, I am in Mississippi for the night and then tomorrow I will be heading to New Orleans. My family and I will be leaving for our cruise on Monday and we will be going to Progresso and Cozumel.

BRANDON AND I GOT COLDPLAY TICKETS!!!!! We are so super excited!!! Our seats are really bad, but we don't care...we get to see Coldplay!!!

On a wedding note, we are down to double digits! Only 98 days to go!! I have my first shower coming up in 2 weeks and after I get back from my cruise, I will be planning full speed ahead!

Our Wedding Website!

We just wanted to let you all know that we have our wedding website officially up and running! It's http://www.theknot.com/ourwedding/BrianneGirse&BrandonBailey . We don't have a ton of wedding details on there yet, but we'll update it as the day gets closer!

Oh, and Brandon's opinions about Coldplay are entirely his own. I was a little worried about our relationship when I read his review of their new single and some of their previous albums. He now knows that I don't like it when he makes such sacrilegious comments about something that is so near and dear to my heart. I personally love the new single and I think their new album is going to be great... I don't expect anything less from Coldplay!

New Coldplay

In the goodness of their hearts, Coldplay has released a song from their new album for free. For the rest of this week, "Violet Hill" can be downloaded from coldplay.com. This is the first release from the new album "Viva la Vida" which comes out in June.

The song is very interesting and I don't know what to make of it. Violet Hill has a darker tone, or at least it feels like it to me. I have always been a bigger fan of the slower songs by Coldplay. Between the lyrics, guitar, and the long silent prelude and exit. it feels darker. Coldplay has said this album will be what they are going to be known for. They have also said there will be a song that whole World has to hear. Pretty bold claims.
I personally feel a little bitter, it has been 3 years since the release of X&Y, which had some great songs, but had its shortcomings. Even though there aren't too many songs, I expect big things from this album.

Our announcement photo shoot!!!

So we had a friend take a ton of photos for an announcement card. What we got was pure comedy. Turns out we aren't ridiculously good looking. But there is more to life than being really, really, really, good looking.

Oven Door!

Bri's attempt to look like Will Ferrel from Old School during the wedding scene in the beginning. You have to see to understand.

Our creepy shot. We did our best to hold the laughter in.

And finally for our homies in SoCal, such as Keith. You know we gotta represent...blood for life. Dang, Bri is hood-rich.

Overall this was a good experience. We learned that we aren't photogenic, at least under pressure. I think when all is said and done, we will most likely use the oven door shot. Lets hope Bri will allow it. Wish me luck!

So it begins

Bri and I realize how obsessed everyone can be over us, therefore we have been coerced into creating a blog. However, we understand the demand and are willing to comply to the dreams of millions. Now you all can read emphatically about what flavor of oatmeal I ate this morning~~~to how I feel about real issues such as; the latest additions into "Oprah's favorite things"
